Look we're on TV!!!

We photographed the wedding of Jane and Len at The Skylands Botanical Garden in Ringwood, New Jersey. It was featured in September on a brand new Lifetime Network television show called, "Masters of Reception" hosted by Kelly Ripa. She is co-host of the long running morning talk show, "Regis and Kelly." The bride and groom were shown having their images taken by us on the beautiful grounds of The Skylands. It was quite a busy day with camera crews, directors and the wedding going on all at the same time! Even though it rained we got exceptional images between showers of the wonderful couple, Jane and Len. Here are a few from their beautiful affair.

Busy as can be!

Recession? What recession! We've been photographing all summer long at Seasons in Washington Township, Florentine Gardens in River Vale, Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, Colonial Inn in Norwood, Ramsey Country Club in Ramsey, Arcola Country Club in Paramus, and more!

Weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, Baptisms, Family Portraits... We've been going like gangbusters! The only downside has been all of the rain. Many of our photography shoots have been rained out. Fortunately it did not put a damper on the festivities as people partied all night long! Here are some images from these events:

Another fabulous wedding at the Ridgewood Country Club!

What a beautiful affair for Jennifer and Thomas. The weather was perfect, the bride was gorgeous, the groom looked dapper and the guests were dancing the night away! We've got hundreds of terrific images to present to the newlyweds when they return from their honeymoon. Here's just a couple of our favorites.

New Jersey located Bat Mitzvah photo and video shoot

We had a wonderful Bat Mitzvah photography and video shoot this past weekend!  The parents were well prepared with the suggested shot list we had provided them several weeks prior to the event.  They also followed our advice and had a family member help gather folks for formal  photographs.  The candle lighting went smoothly, the horah was exciting and the blessing over the bread and wine was filled with wonderful tradition.  The parents and Bat mitzvah girl thanked us and remarked that they did not really notice us during the festivities.  To us that is one of the best compliments we can receive.  They enjoy the party with no concerns about the photography or video.  Just wait until they see their album!!!

Delegate someone for photos!

It's a great idea to have someone help gather family members and friends for your formal photographs.  The last thing the bride and groom want is to run around chasing relatives .
So do yourself a HUGE favor and get your best man, maid of honor or friend to help out the photographer.  It will save time and get you back to the party quickly, without the hassle of gathering folks for family shots.
Fantastic Wedding photography and video shoot at Biagios Restaurant in Paramus this past weekend!  Nice outdoor night time fountain shots of the bride and groom.  Very nice room for a small reception.  The staff was also very helpful as well.  Bride and groom were a delight and the weather held up just perfectly.  Couldn't have asked for a nicer couple!

Wedding advice

Ambassador Video and Photography is pleased to share some thoughts about your wedding day photography.  So here's is a bit of advice garnered through our many years of wedding photography and videography experience:

Enjoy your day!
You carefully chose the hired professionals to make your day special; the photographer, videographer, entertainment, catering staff, florist.  Let them do all of the "heavy lifting" for you.  Through careful planning they will smoothly guide you through your day.  Sit back, relax and allow them do that for you!

Schedule enough time!
We recommend scheduling 2 hours for your formal family images.  They typically take place
immediately following the ceremony, at a park or catering hall.  Understandably many couples
want to attend their cocktail hour.  In addition they also want formal wedding party and family photographs.  So budget in time for those special once-in-a-lifetime images.  Then relax and party.  You can have your cake and eat it too!!!

Enlist a family member!
Appoint the Best Man, Maid of Honor, or close friend to help gather people for formal photographs.  This will speed along the process along and quickly get you back to enjoy your reception. The bride and groom should not have to chase down missing friends or relatives!

Get ready for some photography and video memories to last a lifetime!
